55p hack removes stains from clothes without fuss – you probably have item you need

When your little one comes back from school looking grubby, with stains all over their favourite garments, it can be frustrating and can leave you feeling disheartened.

But before you start playing detective, trying to figure out whether it’s spaghetti sauce, paint, or Play-Doh, there’s a simple solution that parents are raving about.

There’s no need to fret over your child‘s beloved jumper being ruined; just reach for the washing-up liquid. That’s exactly what mum @sas310812 did when her little one came home with a Bluey jumper covered in stains. She shared her quick fix on TikTok for everyone to see.

If you’re running low on washing-up liquid, you can snag some from Morrisons for as little as 55p. But if you’re stocked up and ready to tackle those stubborn marks on your kid’s (or your own) clothes, then it’s time to get busy with the liquid.

Start by dampening the stained area of the garment, then squirt on the washing-up liquid. “Rub the soap into the item of clothing,” she advises, until it foams up, and watch as the stain begins to disappear right before your eyes.

Don’t fret if you can’t see immediate results after treating a stain, because the real test comes after you’ve given the item a spin in the washing machine.

Once you’ve worked the soap into the fabric and are satisfied it’s covered the mark, toss it into the machine on a “normal wash” cycle as if there was never an issue.

When Sas retrieved her jumper post-wash, she was thrilled to announce that “all stains have disappeared” and her daughter’s jumper was looking as good as new.

“I’m one happy mummy again,” she exclaimed, recommending other parents give this method a whirl when faced with similar laundry woes.
