Baker’s ‘moist and delicious’ banana bread recipe only needs three ingredients

There’s nothing like the enticing scent of fresh banana bread straight from the oven, and it’s incredibly easy to make too.

Given the calming effects of baking, not to mention the benefit of indulging in your finished masterpiece, this classic dessert is hard to resist. The lengthy process of baking cakes, however, can be off-putting – especially for those tight for time in the evenings.

Looking to unwind with a simple baking exercise? Enter the humble banana loaf. As a bonus, it’s full of vitamins and minerals courtesy of the bananas, offering potassium and vitamin B6.

And don’t worry, an easy recipe from Candice Bannister at Candy’s Cupcakes features just three ingredients. According to Bannister, it yields a moist banana bread each and every time.

She added: “Thanks to the combination of golden syrup and bananas, you don’t need to worry about this banana bread coming out of the oven too dry, as both ingredients will keep it moist and delicious. You must make sure your bananas are fully ripe though, as this will make the banana bread taste sweeter and more flavoursome.”

Whipping up this banana bread recipe is a piece of cake. Start by preheating your oven to 180C and lining a standard-sized loaf tin with parchment paper.

Next, peel and mash the bananas into a large mixing bowl using a fork. Measure out the flour and gently sieve it into the banana mixture, stirring everything together with a spoon to create a thick dough.

Then, add the golden syrup into the mix, giving the dough another stir to ensure everything is well combined. Lastly, pour the dough into the loaf tin and pop it in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the loaf turns a lovely golden brown.
