Daily US Times, Colorado: A 65-year-old white-bearded man robbed a bank two days before Christmas, threw the robbed money to the air and ecstatically wished passers-by a Merry Christmas.

Local media reported this incident quoting the witnesses.

In a further festive gesture, the passers-by collected all the money from the street and gave it back to the bank.

In the lunchtime of Monday, the man entered the Academy Bank in Colorado Springs, robbed the bank, threw the money to the air and then sat in front of a nearby Starbucks coffee shop to be arrested.

Police suspected the man as David Wayne Oliver and believed he acted alone and has no link to other groups of individuals.

Oliver used no weapon in the heist.

An eyewitness Dion Pascale said ‘He started throwing money out of the bag before yelling Merry Christmas’.

It is reported that Oliver robbed about ten thousand dollars.
