Elgin County OPP are investigating after a body was found along the Lake Erie shoreline near Port Bruce on Saturday.

Police were called to Waneeta Beach after a member of the public found a dead individual on the shore.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been made public.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and there is no risk to public safety.
