Cold and flu expert’s three-step solution to avoid getting sick this winter

Most people are open to trying various methods to enhance their health, from diet changes, amplified exercise routines to overall better lifestyle choices.

However, a neuroscientist has shared three key practices they claim can help ward off colds and flu during the winter season. Robert Love believes these easy-to-follow “tools” could substantially boost your wellbeing.

The expert shared his tips in a TikTok video that has garnered a substantial number of views since it went live, while his followers wasted little time weighing in on the benefits of his recommendations.

Rule number two, according to Robert, is taking vitamin C “and specifically taking it very regularly”. You can do this in the form of vitamins or incorporate more fruit and vegetables into your diet.

“So try to practice some relaxed breathing, some prayer, some meditation, time outside in nature – reducing stress is one of the best things you can do for your immune system.”

“Heat your home to a temperature that’s comfortable for you. If you can, this should be at least 18°C in the rooms that you regularly use, such as your living room and bedroom. This is particularly important if you have a health condition. It’s best to keep your bedroom windows closed at night.”

They also recommend getting the flu vaccine to reduce the risks of symptoms becoming severe. And to ward off a cold, try:
