EastEnders fans think they’ve ‘worked out’ which resident won’t be making it out the Queen Vic alive after Tuesday night’s episode.
In the nail-biting episode, Reiss Colwell was seen crashing his car into the Queen Vic. After an altercation with Bianca, Reiss was seen speeding around the Square – and things got more tense when Cindy pushed Ian Beale into the road.
Earlier on in the episode, Cindy learnt it was Kathy who attacked her on Christmas Day. As Ian tried to bribe her to stay quiet or he’d “make her life a living hell” an enraged Cindy pushed him in front of Reiss car, causing him to swerve into the Vic, hitting gas cans.
Residents outside watched on as the Vic exploded, with many of their family and friends inside, celebrating Honey and Billy’s wedding. As well as the happy couple, EastEnders icons such as Stacey, Martin, Sonia, Lauren and Sharon were left in the Vic celebrating.
During the celebrations, Linda, Grant and Nigel went out to check on Phil after Linda expressed her worry that he was going to end his life. As Grant kicked the door down of the Arches, they found him with his gun. “You don’t have to do this,” Grant told his brother, who responded: “I do.”
Before leaving, Grant asked whether they should tell Sharon they were going to check on Phil, to which Linda responded: “She’s been through enough, let’s leave her out of it.”
A few moments prior, a drunken Kim spilt her drink on Sharon. Then, just after Grant, Linda and Nigel left to check on Phil, Sharon could be seen asking barwoman Tracey if she could go upstairs and dry off.
The last viewers saw of Sharon, she was heading up the stairs. However, later on when the devastating explosion happened, the roof could be seen caving in – as fans fear Sharon is still upstairs.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one worried fan penned: “I can’t stop thinking about Sharon. The way nobody knows she’s upstairs,” as a second commented: “how can I rest now when Sharon could be lying there dead!” A third said: “THE FACT SHARON IS UPSTAIRS IS SCARING ME. i am pleading with the bbc save our shazza #EastEnders“. As a fourth commented: “Someone go get Sharon NOW i’m so serious #EastEnders.”
In first look pictures for Wednesday night’s hour long episode, it’s confirmed Martin tries to help find Stacey, who is also missing. Sharon Watts first appeared in the soap during the first episode in February 1985, and is one of the original characters of the show. Will she make it out alive?
