Fred Sirieix has announced he is a married man.
The First Dates star took to Instagram to share the exciting news that he and partner Fruitcake have tied the knot in Negril, Jamaica. Fred uploaded a snap of the happy couple beaming on their big day as onlookers threw petals over them. Holding hands, Fred looked dapper in a white tuxedo jacket and black bow tie, as he new wife stunned in her elegant wedding dress.
He simply captioned the post with the date of their ceremony and a number of emojis, including the Jamaican flag. Fruitcake commented it was the “best day of my life” in the comments section. She also took to her own page to share the snap on her Stories alongside the words “we did it”.
She also gave a glimpse inside the special occasion, showing of the fancy table decor inside the beautifully decorated venue. Her Stories went on to show her gorgeous hair style from the back before she showed her followers the amazing view of the sea from her window.
She revealed the duo had exchanged their views at Pattoo Castle as she reshared one guest’s post which called it an “incredible venue”. They held held up the running order of the day, which had been tied with a red, white and blue ribbon.
Her last share was of Fred enjoying married life. The TV star was seen sunbathing topless in a Jamaican hat. He said: “Wagwan everyone. It’s sunset here at 6pm. And I’m here with Fruitcake. We got married yesterday,” to which Fruitcake interrupted gleefully to show off her ring and gush: “Finally we did it, we did it.”
Fred jokingly went on: “I’m the DJ for this video. She’s good isn’t she. Anywhere, we’ve got to get ready for dinner. See you.” As they both blowed kisses to the camera, Fruitcake thanked her followers for the lovely comments.
The French maître d’ who is synonymous with love and romance has been helping couples find love on First Dates since 2013, maintains that food is the way to a woman’s heart. He recently told Mirror about one of his most romantic gestures towards his new wife. He said: “I have done many over the years. Maybe one of my best one’s or one of my favourites was taking Fruitcake to Monte Carlo to show her the places I worked as a young professional. It was magic to relive that together as a team!”
And he admitted the key to a strong relationship is “having clear communication and shared interests”. He also said people should remember that being a couple means ” you’re both a team” and it’s key to show you are “supporting each other, rather than being against each other”.
Fred and Fruitcake first got together in 2018. He popped the question two years later and the pair have kept their private life largely under wraps over the years.
