The scent profile of Dolce and Gabbana’s L’Imperatrice is crafted with ‘exotic’ flowers and fruits, targeting ‘charismatic women who want to live as movie stars’. An online description describes the fragrance: “The sweetness and delicacy of its fruity-floral notes form a striking contrast with the strength of the L’Imperatrice muse, highlighting her irresistible confidence and force of character personified in one fragrance.”
The perfume comprises top notes of kiwi, pink pepper, and rhubarb, and middle notes of cyclamen, jasmine, and watermelon. The base notes include lemon tree, musk, and sandalwood, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Elsewhere, a 100ml bottle of Dolce and Gabbana’s L’Imperatrice can be snapped up for £42 at Boots. Alternatively, savvy shoppers can bag it from Superdrug for £32, a significant drop from its usual £66 price tag. Over on Amazon, the fragrance is also listed at £32.
The designer scent has garnered high praise from numerous satisfied customers online. For instance, one happy customer on Superdrug’s website gushed: “I love this perfume so much, it smells so great like fresh flowers.”
Another shared their delightful encounter: “A colleague wafted past me and she smelt divine. I thought I have to get that whatever it is. She gave me the bottle for a squirt and I felt great the rest of the day. Its the sort of fragrance where people will stop you in the street to ask what it is.”
They continued: “I’m no good at describing the perfume, if I had a go I would say, floral but sexy, not too strong. what did it evoke? sitting in a cliff top bar with a gin and tonic and watching the sunset and thinking, boy do I smell great.” Yet another reviewer added: “A beautiful smelling perfume, purchased many times before.”
Home Bargains also offers a variety of other designer fragrances at discounted rates, including Clinique’s Happy, which is available for £25.99 for a 100ml bottle, reduced from £75. A 40ml bottle of Jimmy Choo’s perfume is a steal at £27.99, compared to the regular £51, when shopping at Home Bargains.
