Harry Potter-themed Airbnb host shares ‘worst guest ever’ that left property trashed

A Harry Potter Airbnb host shared a shocking video showing the disgusting state their property was left in by the “worst guest ever.”

TikTok user homelea.stays, who goes by Potter Themed Air Bnb Watford on the platform, uploaded the shocking clip of their trashed flat earlier this week. Within seconds of the clip starting, a massive brown stain could be seen on the stripped mattress with a bin also appearing to be covered in the same substance.

Dirty towels and trash could be seen being strewn across the floor of the bedroom with more debris and dirty paper towels being seen in the hallway. As the person recording the video entered the living room, pillows, wire tables and an upright sofa could be seen on the floor.

The TV screen was smashed and covered with bleach while frozen chips were laid strewn all over the floor with splashes being seen on the wall. Pieces of a smashed Harry Potter mug were also seen covering the floor.

A voice over on the video said: “We have never had anyone do this. This was made for families of children.” The user added in a caption: “The most heartbreaking thing, how someone can be so cruel to do this to a place.”

Since being uploaded earlier this week, the clip has been seen more than 4.2 million times on TikTok. The overwhelming of comments to the video voiced outrage that someone could have trashed the property in such a way.

User misslinn said: “Thought this was a crime scene cleaning page. I’m so sorry they did this.” Emily added: “This is shocking. Like how does this even happen especially the bedroom. That’s disgusting. So sorry.”

Meanwhile meg commented: “I’d honestly call forensics because that bed does not look like just a mess.” Theresia posted: “Why do people do this? I can imagine your airbnb to be so cute and comfy.”

The account user claimed to have contacted police, adding in a response: “Unfortunately, the police haven’t got back to us regarding this. It’s been days. But they do have the name of the guest who booked with us.”

The Mirror has contacted Homelea.stays, Booking.com and Hertfordshire Police for comment.

A page for the B&B on Booking.com shows the property adorned with numerous Harry Potter items and stating it was close to the film franchise’s studios in Hertfordshire. According to guest reviews for the one-bedroom apartment, the B&B holds a 9.1 rating, indicating “superb” from 45 reviews.

There have been numerous reported cases of bnb properties being damaged by guests. Last year, an AirBNB host revealed how middle-aged ravers ransacked rooms and smashed doors.

Snaps from the property showed all the wooden doors snapped, the bathroom sink pulled off the wall as well as other rooms being trashed. Other images even show mattresses in the garden.
