It’s a classic Mother’s Day gift every year – but it can be a balancing act on getting fresh flowers just right. Too early and there’s a chance they wilt before the big day and you risk getting left with some battered supermarket bunch – or nothing at all – by leaving it last minute
So, I decided to work smarter this year and order my flowers from a place that few would ever think about using. Not many people realise that B&M actually sells bouquets of flowers.
But, you won’t spot them in any of the stores as it’s all done online. There’s a dedicated website for B&M Flowers here and the store even made an Instagram post about it for Valentine’s Day.
There is a whole page dedicated to Mother’s Day arrangements starting from as little as £19.99, but there are plenty of different options as well. Depending on your budget, you can go for standard sizes or go all out with a large bunch of flowers too.
As of Friday, March 28, shoppers can select to have their flowers delivered on a day that suits them. Ordering by 10pm tonight (Friday) will allow you you get free next day delivery on Saturday.
If you want delivery on Mother’s Day itself (March 30) then you will need to pay £5.95 for Tracked Named Day Delivery. But, this would guarantee the freshest flowers upon arrival – and spare you a mad dash to the shops.
Plenty of people vouched for the services in the online reviews. One said: “Brilliant selection of flowers. Very pleased with free delivery.”
Another added: “Wonderful choice of flowers, reasonable costs and delivered on your chosen date.” A third wrote: “After trawling through online sites for flowers, I always return to B&M. I have never been disappointed!”
And someone else shared: “I have sent all my flowers from here for my family and friends. They are so beautiful and arrive on time.” A fifth person put: “My mum always says the flowers are lovely and last ages.” Finally, there was one shopper who posted: “The options were easy to compare and choose, plus the pictures were a good representation of what was on offer.”
B&M’s flower service runs all year round, not just for Mother’s Day, offering an affordable way to celebrate special moments or simply to indulge yourself any time of the year. B&M’s Flower Service also offers a subscription for a mere £16 a month, allowing you to set up monthly deliveries of fresh flowers to add some cheer any day. You could do this for yourself or set it up as a gift for someone else.
