I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Kim Woodburn has revealed that she’s been left unable to work for weeks.
The star shared a post on Instagram, simply reading: “We regret to tell you that Kim is unable to record further videos until Friday 7th March.”
Alongside the plain image of black text on a grey background, Kim’s team explained in the caption: “Due to surgery to eye.”
Kim, 82, didn’t offer any further information about why she’d had the surgery, but her fans were quick to share their well wishes with the How Clean is Your House star.
“Hope you’re okay dear Kim. Wishing you a speedy recovery,” one fan wrote. “Get well soon, Kim. Sending love,” a second added alongside a string of heart emojis.
While Kim’s eye surgery seems to be health-related, it’s not the first time she’s had a major procedure in hospital. The reality TV star previously revealed that she rushed to have a boob job after being unhappy with how her body looked in the jungle.
“I’ve had my breasts reduced, I’ve always had huge knockers, they were very big, they were hanging badly. So when I saw this after the jungle, I thought, ‘Oh, God, Kim they look awful love.’ So I went and got them made smaller. So, now listen up, if I take my bra off they’re firm and pert just like an 18 year old’s,” she shared last November.
Kim joked of her shower scenes on the show: “Mind you at the time I was in my 60s and they wanted to film a nude woman who flashing their purlies. They were all wrinkled and crinkled and my knockers were hanging down to my waist. They were that desperate to see a body that they needed to look at an old woman’s, the dirty beggars.”
Kim was in the jungle back in 2009, undergoing the gruelling experience with Gino D’Acampo, who went on to win the show. Gino is currently under investigation due to claims of misconduct on his ITV shows, and Kim recently claimed that he acted similarly behind the scenes of I’m a Celeb.
“He used to stand over a log and stroke his privates over his shorts. He’d talk to his penis saying, ‘I know you haven’t had any sex, but when you get out of here, you will get so much,'” she claimed of his behaviour in front of the rest of the cast.
“He would say his privates were being deprived and neglected, and his wife would give him a good seeing to when he got home. We would all just turn away,” she added to The Sun.
