Comedian Katherine Ryan has defended Bianca Censori’s shocking Grammys outfit, saying she thinks it was an “interesting fashion statement”.
The wife of rapper, Kanye West, 30, sent shockwaves through the showbiz industry on Sunday when she attended the prestigious awards with the rapper, flashing her bum and boobs in a barely-there dress. There has been widespread concern for Bianca after the stunt, with some suggesting Kanye is treating her like his “puppet”.
However, comedian, Katherine, 41, has defended the Aussie architect on the latest episode of her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything. Weighing in on the Grammys stunt, Katherine said: “I personally thought she looked great. You could see her nipples, her v*g, her bum crack. It looked great! What an interesting way to dress. I like for someone to just go out and do it.”
Praising Bianca for her “interesting fashion statement”, she continued on her podcast: “Some of them at the Met Gala etc have their nipples and v*g barely covered and isn’t this [Bianca’ dress] an interesting fashion statement, saying: ‘Here’s all of it then’.” Pointing out the huge publicity Bianca got from the stunt, Katherine says she was sure there was a “sales pitch involved” when Kanye and Bianca rocked up on the red carpet.
Saying the dress was to do with “some hype around something”, she concludes: “Sure enough, it broke the internet – everyone’s Googling these pictures”. The snaps certainly sent the showbiz world into a frenzy, but many were left concerned for Bianca. Her nude outfit sparked grave concerns from experts as fears grow over her dynamic with Kanye. It is believed that Bianca’s friends and family have tried to intervene over the years after watching her become Kanye’s ‘puppet’, and now the couple’s controversial Grammys stunt has raised further red flags with psychologists.
Chartered psychologist Dr Louise Goddard-Crawley told the Mirror that the model’s choice of extreme clothing may signal an unhealthy dynamic in the relationship. She warned: “Bianca Censori’s increasingly revealing outfits have sparked debate, with many questioning whether this is an act of self-expression or something more complex. Reports of Kanye West allegedly imposing ‘rules’ on her, alongside concerns from family and friends, raise the possibility that this is more than just a bold fashion choice.”
Louise continued: “In relationships where one partner holds significant influence—whether through status, wealth, or sheer personality—the other can find themselves adapting, sometimes unconsciously, to maintain approval.” However, others believe Bianca knows exactly what she’s doing and is determined to gain maximum exposure for as long as she’s married to Kanye, who describes the 30-year-old as his “muse”.
Analysing a video of the couple from TMZ three days after their Grammys appearance, body language expert, Judi James, told the Mirror: “These two do seem to appear in the body language role of co-conspirators here, with their matching ‘Tarantino’ shades and the hint of a sense of victory emanating from their approach to the paparazzi.
“It’s a continuation of the narrative they plugged at the Grammys after show party, where they danced, kissed and fondled, with Bianca coming out of her more submissive looking ‘Living artwork’ role to sing into a mic, showboat and play to the crowd.”
