Katie Price has landed a new acting role after thrilling fans in a recent pantomime.
Over the winter weeks, Katie, 46, sparked howls of laughter alongside Atomic Kitten legend Kerry Katona, 44, as they starred as the ugly sisters in a production of Cinderella. Audiences attending the festive stage show at Northwich Memorial Court in Cheshire were delighted as they pop culture icons hammed it up on stage and entertained locals.
Now it has been revealed that Katie will be showing off her acting chops again soon – and this time alongside some iconic TV actors. The OnlyFans model has reportedly been cast in a new production of Pinocchio in which she will perform alongside EastEnders star Bobby Davro and Casualty actress Amanda Henderson.
Katie has been cast in this pantomime production – but fans won’t have to wait for the Christmas season to watch the fun-filled show, as it will be hitting the stage in a few short weeks time. And while Amanda will be starring in the show as well, it transpires that she will be sharing the role of the magic fairy with Katie.
The producer of the show revealed the news via Instagram, writing: “We are delighted to announce that Katie Price and Casualty’s Amanda Henderson will be sharing the role of Fairy across the dates of this year’s Easter Panto tour. They will join the previously announced casting of Bobby Davro as Stromboli plus Easter Panto favourites Ryan Greaves, Kate Salmon and Phyl Harries.”
Katie shared the announcement via her own Instagram page and reacted to the news by posting a string of red heart emojis alongside the update. Fans are already beyond excited to see the star back on stage – and flooded the casting announcement post to share their intention to book tickets and see her in the flesh.
One gushed in the comments: “Ooh I can’t wait she was amazing in cinderella.” And another wrote: “She be fabulous in it.” However, some fans were concerned that the fact she is sharing the role could lead them to attend Pricey-free performances by accident.
Highlighting the potential flaw, one fan wrote: “I just booked Cannock omg I do hope your in that one,” alongside a crying-face emoji. And another typed: “How do we know which dates Katie is doing?” A kindly staff member of the production highlighted, however, that one of the slides Katie shared clearly marked which dates she would be performing in.
The casting news comes after Katie stunned fans by revealed that she had cancelled plans to endure a fresh round of cosmetic procedures. She had been expected to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) – but, in a surprise turn of events, vowed to achieve a bigger booty through hard exercise rather than a surgical shortcut.
Speaking on The Katie Price Podcast this week, she shared: “I’m starting the gym next week. I’ve decided I’m not going to have filler or implants, I’m going to work my a*** off at the gym. I’ll take before and after pictures, though it’ll probably take a year to get my bum where I want it.”
