Kieran Hayler has faced a fresh update after being arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and child neglect.

Katie Price’s former husband, who she divorced in 2021 was arrested on April 7, 2023. Now, just under two years later, the 37-year-old has faced a fresh update following an investigation by Sussex Police. Neighbours previously told how it was “frightening” to hear of the alleged incident at their quiet village.

The former stripper was taken into police custody following his arrest. At the time, a spokesperson for the force said: “Sussex Police arrested a man on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and child neglect in the Petworth area on Friday, 7 April, 2023.”

Now, in a fresh update, it has been confirmed to the Mirror that following a “full and thorough investigation,” the police have closed the investigation into the suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, as well as neglecting a child. “The matter has now been filed with no further action to be taken,” they told the Mirror.

At the time, a neighbour of Kieran and his ex-fiancée said: “It was very dramatic, a police van and car suddenly turned up on the driveway of their home.” They went on to tell The Sun: “We later heard it involved a gun which was quite frightening.”

After his arrest in 2023, a spokesperson for Sussex Police told the Mirror:” A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and child neglect. He has been taken into custody for questioning. We will not be commenting further.”

A source close to Kieran told the Mirror at the time that he was assisting officers with their enquiries. It’s believed that officers from the force rushed to Kieran’s home at around 4pm. Kieran, who worked as a builder and part-time stripper, is best known for his appearances on EastEnders, Argumental and Big Brother.
