KSI taunts Wayne Bridge about John Terry and ex-girlfriend in heated face-off

KSI has wasted no time in his bid to rile former Chelsea ace Wayne Bridge, after their boxing fight was announced.

The pair faced off in the centre of the ring at the latest Misfits boxing event, that saw MMA star Darren Till knock out Anthony Taylor, and the 31-year-old quickly brought up infamous drama. YouTuber and influencer boxer KSI taunted Bridge with an x-rated chant targeting the ex-a former relationship of the ex-England international.

Bridge, now married to Frankie Bridge of the Saturdays, previously dated French underwear model Vanessa Perroncel while playing for Chelsea. That relationship broke down amid allegations that team-mate John Terry allegedly had an affair with Perroncel, who denies the claim.

The Chelsea stars saw their friendship break down and were mocked by rival fans over the situation and KSI seemingly wanted to use this to get under his opponent’s skin.”Aren’t you the guy that let John Terry smash your ex?” he quickly said to the 44-year-old he is scheduled to fight on March 29.

“You want to go there straightaway do you?” Bridge returned.

KSI continued: “I’m pretty sure that’s what you’re known for.” The Sidemen member the started a chant of ‘Vanessa woah, Vanessa woah’.

The Arsenal fan then added some choice words as he led the crowd in the chant referencing Bridge’s former partner. The retired left-back the provoked KSI into pushing him before security stepped in with a simple message: “You wanted it mate, you can get it.”

WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE

Members of the crowd joined in with KSI’s chanting but those numbers were perhaps outdone by the booing that took place in the arena in Manchester following the announcement of the bout.

KSI, who was due to take on Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor in Dublin in August but pulled out due to injury, has a 4-1-1 professional boxing record but has not fought since October 2023, when Tommy Fury beat him by unanimous decision. Bridge’s experience saw him defeat Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews in a 2018 charity bout for Sport Relief.

Earlier in January, KSI threw his hat in the ring for a face-off with Conor McGregor. The Misfits boxing co-owner shared a fake promotional poster which featured himself and McGregor. A caption alongside it read: “Let’s make this happen @TheNotoriousMMA.”

However, following the cancellation of their fight, Slim told Mirror Fighting he didn’t believe KSI’s heart was in boxing. “Even when I was with him in the face-offs, I feel like his heart wasn’t there,” he said.

“If your heart isn’t in boxing, it’s going to end very badly. I’m always willing to take the fight, I’m always willing there if he wants to take it, but if he doesn’t, I’m going to step forward with my career and just take what’s next for me and what’s going to help me level up.”
