Love Island: All Stars viewers have said they’ve “never been more bored” as a game took “disappointing” turn.
Friday’s (7th February) episode of the ITV dating show saw the continuation of last night’s Snog, Marry, Pie game, which saw the Islanders line up by the pool to receive their fate.
Thursday’s episode ended with a tense cliffhanger as Samie decided who to kiss, following her recent love triangle with Luca and Grace.
Bombshell Samie caused a stir earlier this week when she showed an interest in Luca, which seemed to be mutual after he previously slid into her DMs.
Luca assured his partner Grace that he was focused on her, but the rest of the boys urged him to explore a possible connection with Samie as she was “his type on the outside”.
The drama escalated during a fiery game of Spin the Bottle/Truth or Dare on Wednesday, as Luca decided to kiss Samie after Grace explicitly asked him not to.
Viewers were therefore intrigued to see whether Samie would return the favour in tonight’s episode, but she ended up giving Curtis a kiss on the cheek and covering Luca in pie, which left fans feeling quite underwhelmed.
Many viewers quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their frustrations, with one writing: “I’ve never been more bored in my life this episode is so dry. Snog, Marry, Pie is supposed to be entertaining omg.”
“So basically the cliffhanger was for nothing just for Samie to give Curtis a kiss on his cheek,” another added, while a third said: “That cliffhanger was for no reason literally.”
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment: “This season of all stars was acc getting so entertaining and now we’re wasting nearly two eps on the pie challenge it’s so long winded and becoming boring.”
Meanwhile, one viewer shared that they had correctly predicted the outcome: “I knew Samie wasn’t gonna kiss Luca because if she was they would of left the cliffhanger after the kiss.”
Tonight’s episode also featured a recoupling that saw the boys decide which girl they wanted to couple up with. Samie and Danielle weren’t chosen by any of the boys, and were therefore dumped from the island.
