Man found dead on popular Blackpool beach in mysterious UK seaside resort death

The body of a man in his 20s has been found on a Blackpool beach, with questions remaining around the circumstances of his mysterious death.

Emergency services found the body at Blackpool’s North Promenade at 7.09am on Saturday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Our officers, along with other emergency service colleagues attended, and very sadly, a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene,” a Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson told the Mirror. “Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time.

“His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be passed to the coroner in due course.” Police did not share how the man is believed to have died.

The death comes after a body was found during a search for a missing woman. The body of Colette Marshall, 44, was found “near a sewage outlet” during the search for her earlier this month.

Police shared two photographs of Colette in attempt to locate her after she went missing on February 1 from Perranporth, Cornwall.

Following the discovery, ambulance crews and the RNLI arrived at the scene. A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “A body has been located in the search for 44-year-old Colette Marshall who had been reported missing from Perranporth.

“A body was discovered along the coastline in the Perranporth area Saturday 8 February. Formal identification has yet to take place.

“The family of Colette have been informed of the discovery. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
