Manchester United give huge Everton team news hint as THREE players left out of squad

Ruben Amorim looks set to turn to Manchester United’s youth prospects to bolster his bench against Everton on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils have been hit by a spate of injuries recently – leading to a particularly weak bench at Spurs last weekend – but Amorim appeared to suggest it was clearing up when he spoke to the press this week.

He announced United would have Manuel Ugarte, Leny Yoro and Christian Eriksen back fit, albeit with Amad, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount still long-term absentees.

He commented: “We have young players and we’re working with them and we have to really focus on that as a club.

“When you have these moments of a lot of injuries you should use young players, if not you don’t have space for them to improve and show themselves. We need to focus in future on youth because of the history of our club and the reality of our situation.”

Now a hat-trick of the club’s academy stars may well be part of the senior squad at Goodison Park.

Striker Chido Obi, midfielder Sekou Kone, and goalie Elyh Harrison were all left out of the club’s Under-21 squad to face Chelsea on Friday night. Their omission from Travis Binnion’s side hints that they might feature with the first team in Saturday’s match, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Obi’s move from Arsenal’s academy last summer was met with much anticipation. Despite spending most of his time playing for the youth teams, he has consistently been involved in first-team training.

The 17 year old received his first call-up last weekend due to Amad’s injury and made his Premier League debut as a substitute in the final minute of the loss at Tottenham Hotspur. After being recalled from a successful loan spell at Chester in January, Harrison has been on Amorim’s bench for the past two weekends, joined last week by Kone.
