Prince William is ‘really bad’ at hobby loved by Kate, George, Charlotte and Louis

Prince William and Kate Middleton are known to be hands-on parents, often spending their free time with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The family is sporty, enjoying bike rides and garden games, but a recent Instagram post revealed another shared hobby.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted four portrait drawings by Kate, 43, George, 11, Charlotte, nine, and Louis, six. Royal fans praised the artwork, which was shared to promote Kate’s Early Years Shaping US project, but noticed that William didn’t seem to participate in the drawing activity.

While no artwork from William was shared, it’s speculated that the future King may not enjoy drawing as much as his family due to his self-admitted lack of talent. In a 2020 video call with Pakistani schoolchildren, William confessed he was “really bad” at drawing, while praising his wife’s skills.

Kate then playfully chided her husband, saying: “You don’t practice enough!”

Kate Middleton’s proficiency in art seems to be a trait she’s passed on to her eldest son, Prince George. Following the release of their portraits earlier this week, Royal watchers were quick to spot the young prince’s evident talent, reports the Express.

One admirer commented online: “It’s clear that Prince George has inherited his mother’s artistic talent wonderfully! ” Meanwhile, another added: “Prince George’s drawing definitely hints at him having inherited artistic skill.”

Prince Louis’ sweet portrait drawing features an incredible detail that royal fans claim shows how much he adores his mum, Kate.

The Princess of Wales and her children released portrait sketches they drew of each other after spending time together being creative. Kate alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis completed the exercise aimed at fostering a “moment of connection”.

The four images appear to be drawn in a variety of mediums from charcoal to ink. While it remains uncertain who drew what, the caption on the X, formerly Twitter post appears to correlate with the order in which each portrait is shown. And royal fans believe the drawing in red ink has been created by six-year-old Louis and could show mum, Kate.

They’ve pointed out that the young prince may have been so eager to get his portrayal correct, he has even included his mum’s beauty spot just above her top lip in the drawing. It has also been pointed out that his subject could also have been his aunt Pippa Matthews, who also has a similar mark to older sister Kate.

The release of the drawings comes as the Wales family are reportedly on holiday together on the Caribbean island of Mustique during the school half-term break. The drawings are related to the princess’s Shaping Us Framework initiative, aimed at increasing awareness of social and emotional skills.
