Super Bowl food and drink prices – from £80 salads to £60 rice dishes

Football enthusiasts will have to shell out the equivalent of a staggering £80 for a salad and £13 for a single beer at Super Bowl LIV. The 59th NFL finale, set to kick off on Sunday, is a replay of the match two years ago between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The current champions are poised to make league history by clinching three consecutive titles, but they’ll have to overcome their previous rivals to achieve this.

The eagerly awaited showdown is taking place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, which boasts over 76,000 seats. In addition to the pricey tickets that could cost fans thousands of dollars, the refreshment prices at the opulent stadium are nothing short of exorbitant.

The Superdome, home to the New Orleans Saints, ranks among the NFL stadiums with the priciest concession fares, with a hot dog and beer combo setting fans back £15.33. A large domestic beer on the Superdome concourse will cost £13, while those opting for a premium cocktail like a Bayou Strawberry Daiquiri or a Frozen Irish Coffee will have to cough up an even steeper £15.33.

Fans quenching their thirst will find themselves nearly £16.15 poorer after purchasing a beer. However, there’s some relief with slightly more affordable food options available, with wings and hotdogs priced at just £3.23, while a slice of pizza will set you back £10.50, reports the Mirror US.

The menu prices are steep, with a Caprese Crab Salad setting you back a whopping £80.74, a basket of Garden Fresh Crudites priced at £64.59, and dirty rice – a Louisiana Creole dish made with white rice and small pieces of pork, beef or chicken – costing a hefty £60.55. While these dishes and prices are set for the regular season, there will be upgrades to the menu for fans during the game.

Other items such as The Big Easy big game banh mi, Lobster karaage sandwich, Surf n’ turf po’ boy, Alligator sausage po’ boy are also on the menu.
