Daily US Times, Spain: Three members of a family are reportedly drowned at a holiday resort swimming pool in Spain.

The family went to Club La Costa World, near Fuengirola to spend Christmas vacation.

The disaster happened on Christmas Eve. The three were rescued from the swimming pool unresponsive.

Local media reported, at first the nine-year-old girl found herself troubled in the water, then her brother and father rushed there to save her.

All of them eventually drowned.

Both the girl and her father are British, and the brother is American.

Hotel authority CLC World Resorts said the first response team and emergency services provided first aid.

The authority said in a statement ‘Management at Club La Costa World resort would like to offer its heartfelt condolences to the family affected by the loss of three family members on 24th December 2019. The management is assisting the authorities fully with their investigation into the deaths.’

The Foreign Office spokesman confirmed that they are offering assistance to a British woman following an incident in Spain.
