Daily US Times: The US President Donald Trump trolled teen climate activist Greta Thunberg after she was named Time’s Person of the Year 2019. Greta beats other finalists on the list including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Hong Kong protesters and Trump himself to win the title.

Thunberg was announced Person of the Year on Wednesday. A day later on Thursday, Trump Tweeted ‘So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!’

Trump has a long quarrel with Time magazine. He won Time’s 2016 Person of the Year. The following year, he claimed that the Time editors had told him he would ‘probably’ be named Person of the year but make a condition for an interview and photoshoot. Trump claims he denied the condition. He also claimed he should win the 2018 Person of the Year too. He said then ‘I can’t imagine anybody other than Trump. Can you imagine anybody other than Trump?’

But this is not the first time Greta-Trump clash takes place. In September, the two crossed paths at the United Nations where Gretha looked at Trump in a way that she looks angry by seeing him. The clip of that moment gone viral.

Greta said in her speech at the UNGA ‘I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean, yet you come to us young people for hope. How dare you.’

The following day, Trump took to Twitter to weigh her ‘She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!’

Thunberg responded by changing her Twitter bio to read: ‘A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future.’

Greta also responded to Trump’s latest take similarly, changing her Twitter bio to read: ‘A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend.’

Thunberg said in a September interview with Yahoo News, ‘Powerful people like Trump want to silence young climate activists like her.’

She said ‘They can sense that we are making an impact. They obviously don’t want that. So they are using several methods to mock and hate.’
