A woman has been airlifted to a Hamilton hospital after being hit by a car in Guelph, Ont., Thursday morning.
The woman, who is in her 30s, was walking on Woolwich Street between Speedvale Avenue W. and Verney Street when she was hit.
The Guelph Police Service says the emergency call came in at 5:10 a.m. and the driver involved remained on scene.
Police closed a portion of Woolwich Street on Thursday morning as a part of their investigation.
The woman is now at the Hamilton General Hospital’s trauma centre. Police said they were not able to provide further information about the woman’s condition at this time.
