Do you ever see a bargain and think it is too good to be true? One woman was wowed by a cheap, stunning handbag online, but was left stunned by what arrived at her front door.
As we scroll on our phones while relaxing or on our commute, we are bombarded with adverts and apps which tease us into buying new things. Most of us love the convenience of having something delivered to our homes, instead of going into physical shops. Plus, you can often find better deals that are online only. However, it does come with the risk of buying something that looks completely different in person.
One woman was on the hunt for a new handbag and found a stunning black bag with handles a cross-body strap, and a cute fluffy keyring on the side. The classy bag was priced at £10 on Temu – and she could not believe how much of a steal it was.
But the woman was left in stitches after something completely different arrived a her door. However, it turns out that it was her own fault and people have issued a warning to read product descriptions properly before ordering items online.
“Temu did me dirty,” she said. She opened the parcel to find a minuscule handbag inside. While the design was the same, the handbag fit into the palm of her hand.
“I’m crying,” she wrote on TikTok. “I ordered that bag,” one wrote in the comments in a panic. “I’ve just cancelled my order,” said another. “I received tiny shoes last week,” shared one other. Another said: “Can’t help but laugh. Daylight robbery.”
But others pointed out that the description did clarify that the product is small. One individual noted: “I saw that bag and the description say its a keyholder so please before order read the description carefully.”
“No, maybe you picked a keyholder,” added another. One other agreed, and said: “Temu did nothing wrong, it’s very important to read the description.”
“Serves you right,” said another. “You did not read the description,” added one other.
Temu has been approached for comment.
