Xbox Game Pass has had a big month, but it’s putting your expectations in check once again with another bout of games leaving the service in February 2025.
Xbox Game Pass has an awful lot to offer to players on any of the Xbox consoles on the market, and even beyond. It seems that Microsoft has every intention of making every device in your home and your pocket into a means of connecting with its games, and that’s proven no better by Xbox Game Pass with its cloud and PC gaming capabilities.
We’ve been lucky recently, too – though some games are frustratingly on their way out, with Tales of Arise leaving Xbox Game Pass recently, there are big entrants coming in to make up for it, with the arrival of Avowed on Xbox Game Pass, boasting an Avowed release time that is incredibly soon to help suture the wounds of departing RPGs. The likes of Madden NFL 25 and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black also came along with it, and after introducing Starfield to subscribers on Xbox Game Pass Standard, it’s clear that there’s heaps to do on the service no matter the tier you’re subscribed to.
Frustratingly, though, a few games have to leave to make way for them – and sadly, an iconic franchise is having a few games pulled from the centre of its catalogue.
The second wave of games leaving the Xbox Game Pass service in February 2025 has been revealed by their appearance on the ‘leaving soon’ tab of the Xbox Game Pass website. The games vacating the service on February 28 are:
Yakuza 4 Remastered (console, cloud)
Yakuza 3 Remastered (console, cloud)
Gris (console, cloud)
Warhammer 40K: Boltgun (console, cloud, PC)
Space Engineers (console, cloud, PC)
Paw Patrol World (console, cloud, PC)
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (console, cloud, PC)
Maneater (console, cloud, PC)
F1 22 (console, cloud, PC)
It’s a shame to say goodbye to Warhammer 40K: Boltgun, which stands as an exemplary modern boomer shooter that understands the bloodlust of its fans – but the losses of Yakuza 3 and 4 Remastered are pretty brutal for players just getting stuck into the Like A Dragon series. These games leaving Xbox Game Pass means that some players will simply be left without their chance to keep playing through the series up to Yakuza: Like A Dragon, which is the most recent title in the series on the service.
